I have just started using Deluge.
Do you think that Deluge may have plugin for downloading files by http, ftp protocols (without seeding, of course

) - it will be very useful to me as web-ui user - don't want to install another application only for that kind of downloading (Deluge himself with python taking many resources of my Cel-900/128Mb).

In other words you're asking if deluge could become a download manager through a plugin?

Why not just use a web browser? That would seem the obvious choice.

Yes, download manager.
Web browser is not convenient for big downloads. Additionally I want one speed limit for all downloads, one priority system.

There are plenty of HTTP download managers that can do that. I see no reason to re-invent the wheel (in Deluge).

I remember there were a feature called "Web Seed" in the age of 0.5. Seems like "HTTP" mentioned here.

Web seeding still requires a .torrent.
The original poster wanted to be able to download any file using http, ftp, etc.
