now that officially Windows version of Deluge is not available, is anyone from community here trying to compile it on Windows?
i found some description here on site how to compile the code, and that all tools are available so i am gonna try.
by the way, since deluge is not allowed on some private torrent trackers (i guess because of reputation of some old versions)
i believe there must be a way to change client and version string that it reports to tracker so that
deluge would seem like for example Azureus to a tracker.
maybe someone could help on this?
anyone from community working on Windows port?
Re: anyone from community working on Windows port?
there's a windows installer in the works: http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... 225#p77225
you can spoof although it's not recommended. *cough* http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... 359&p=2948 *cough*

Re: anyone from community working on Windows port?
thanks for info
reason i wanna try this is that my ISP is throttling torrents in such nasty way that torrent client cant
connect to tracker but peer connections are ok. sometimes it gets through but most of the time it doesnt so
my upload/download stats are not updating correctly on tracker. i tried all clients (with encryption) and only one that works
is deluge. utorrent, azureus, bittornado dont work, and all others are banned in most private trackers.
there are couple of private trackers i use that dont allow deluge at all or allow only newest version which is unavailable
for windows yet, so only way is to learn to build it myself.
