"Error" in Progress column

I've searched the forums for progress + error, but no luck
New to Deluge. Using Ubuntu 8.0.4 and Deluge 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 showing same error.
Choose torrents, load up into Deluge... downloading starts, then after a minute or so, the teardrop symbol to the left of the torrent name turns red, and in the column "Progress" the word "error" appears.
When I click on "resume" the teardrop symbol goes green again, and the download continues. Then a minute or so later, "error" appears again in "progress" and the download stops... until I repeat the cycle of clicking "resume".
Of course, I can't sit at my mouse all day clicking "resume". So I'm back on Opera using the the built-in bittorrent program. For the same torrents from the same location, saving to the same (large and empty) hard disk, the downloads continue with no errors.
Is there anyone out there who can explain this? Or is it just a case that maybe my ISP (Orange in France) for some reason just manages to block Deluge somehow?
Thanks.
