AJAX UI unusable in Opera

Post by szczerb »

I just started using Deluge a few days ago. It's damn amazing and exactly what I was looking for, but I encountered a problem and would like to know who to "blame"

At first I just thought that the AJAX template is not ready yet, but then I tried it in Epiphany and Firefox and it just works (with the classic theme - with the white theme the torrents table is moved down to the level of the tabs and is covered by them (in both browsers so I guess that you are well aware of)). So my question is if the page is totally standards compliant. If it is, then I'm filing an Opera bug. If it's not then the bug is yours to (hopefully) deal with ;]

Cheers :)

No it's not ready yet, hence the "Alpha" in the title of it. There are a couple of things that wouldn't work in Opera though, the context menus for example would never work in Opera, Opera doesn't support the "oncontextmenu" event as they believe it is a security risk if memory serves. Also rounded corners using CSS3 doesn't work fully in anything aside from gecko based browsers, only partially in webkit browsers.

It's being rewritten for 1.2 anyway so I would wait until then, it probably was a bug of our doing, not operas.

I always thought that Opera was really good with the standards

Thanks for the reply.
