2.6.28 and deluge 1.1.0 kills connections?

Hi all,
I recently updated deluge from 0.5x to 1.1.0 and now whenever I have it interferes with webbrowsing. I.e. browsing becomes slow and eventually almost halts. Now I read that this was quite common with 1.0, but should be fixed in 1.1. So I wondered if the fact that I also recently updated my kernel might have to do with it. The following post on lkml has some information about problems with python and 2.6.28... Does anyone know if this might be causing the problems?

Cheers, Edder
