After formating my pc and installing the newest version the program runs but i can't add any torrent. The + (add) button is gray or when i try to open the torrent file itself nothing happens. When i install older versions the program doesn't even opens.
Before formating deluge worked ok. I use Vista 32
Any thoughts??

That looks like the daemon isn't running for whatever reason.
Try disabling the classic mode in the preferences under interface, close and restart deluge. Then you should be able to start the daemon and connect to it manually.

I don't know the reason behind why it wouldn't start properly.

I can connect, but after connect whappen that, how we can see in that image :S

I install deluge 1.1.8 and i have the same problem, the deamon is on, i can connect on it, but i can't do enything else. in the pref nothing is enable, i can't add torrent.

Do you have some issue on this please?

I've this problem since i installed vista 64bit.
There's no version of deluge that work. It starts but all the options\actions are locked.

I've tried everything ... uninstall gtk, delugue , cleaning regestry keys etc etc etc etc etc

Using the latest build and I am able to get things to work. I can't just load torrent files automatically with deluge though. I have to manually select 'add file', dig through my temp folders, and open it with the deluge interface for things to work.

Using XP x64 SP2

I had the same problem but have playing with a few setting it seems to work now. What i did was unchecked the options in interface "Always Show" and "Bring the dialog to focus"

Dude you must tell me how did you do it.

I have the same problem, i read all this posts, i unchecked "allways show" and "bring the dialog to focus" but the only thing that change was that now the window "connecting manager" now popup. Still cant add any torrent or change any settings besides interface settings.

Anyone has solution to this problem?

Had the same problem, could not focus on the window to click on anything (adding torrents, going trough preference). Restarting Windows (7 x64) solved the problem.

I know this is an old thread, but thought it would be good to say it stills happens and how it was sorted out.
