Label Plugin: Problem with selecting labels

Hi,
I am using Deluge 1.2.0-dev from the repository listed in the FAQ (http://svn.deluge-torrent.org/trunk) on Ubuntu 8.10.
Unfortunately I am having problems with the label plugin...
I can define labels but for some reason assigning torrents to a label won't work. If I right click on a torrent and move on "Label" it will pop up an empty list.
Am I just plain stupid?
