Deluge loses progress when computer crashes

Hey guys,
I'm using Ubuntu Hardy and the latest version of Deluge (1.0.2, I think). I've got this problem that is incredibly frustrating.
When my computer crashes, or often when I reboot and it shuts down deluge automatically, I restart the program to discover that a download has lost as much as 12% or more of the total download. I'm not sure why this is, but one particular torrent has been stuck on 28% for nearly a week now because my computer will reset. It once got all the way to 60% complete and dropped when my X-server reset.
Even downloads which are finished but seeding will lose data. What's going on? Does anyone have any idea why this is?
