0.5.8RC2 reported that there is a new version (i.e. 0.5.8) - with update notification turned off.
Why? It shouldn't check for new versions if it is turned off.

Yep. I know. It stores parts of blocks that belong to "don't download" files to it, so hash checking can be still done using full blocks. AFAIK, I think that's good and proper solution.

And uTorrents solution is much better than the BitComets annoying way of putting those padding spacer files. In some cases paddings contain more data than the actual content. Large blocks and huge number of small files. I'm sure that all of you are familiar with this problem. And only client supporting hash checking without downloading those spacers is BitComet. And yes, you can't avoid downloading that padding even if you download all files. That's the reason why this is very bad solution IMHO.
