Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
bro,
I just wanted to say thanks for this great plugin and for maintaining it and adding new features. Also for being patient and helping people with their
bugs. It's great to see someone giving their time and effort freely to people. I hope you continue to maintain and add new features, because if this plugin
wasn't available I don't think I could use deluge, so thanks again for your hard work.

Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
hi, i know this question been asked before, but i didn't find any answer how can this be done
the minimum TTL time is set to 15 minutes. i'm using yarss with deluge for downloads on hdbits, and they allow rss check every 5 minutes. i'm totally cool with 5 minutes, but not 15. with 15 minutes it very often happens to have results like this
http://i50.tinypic.com/2dj2d6r.jpg
so would like to see if it possible to change that
thanks for advice

As long as I'm using Deluge myself I'll maintain this plugin, and I plan to use Deluge for a long time

Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
I see. You can change the interval by editing the yarss2.conf file with a text editor (shut down deluge first). If you edit the RSS feed it will be reset to 15. Maybe setting the minimum limit to 5 min won't be a problem. Will consider that for the next version.vertigo wrote:hi, i know this question been asked before, but i didn't find any answer how can this be done

Edit: Will change this to 5 minutes in the next version.

Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
Hi,
am running deluge 1.3.5 on Xubuntu 12.04 with the latest version of YaRSS2 on a thin client setup. I am pretty confident that YaRSS2 causes deluged somehow to crash. Without the plugin activated it runs for days, but with it there is two scenario's: either deluged crashed completely after a couple of hours or I can still connect, however it is not downloading or uploading even while being connected to peers. Killing deluged and restarting it solves the issue.
I would love to help you, so we can track this down. How can I do this?
Thank you.
Sina

Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
It sounds very strange that YaRSS2 would cause deluge to stop downloading. There have been known issues in the GTKUI part causing the thin client to crash, but I've yet to encounter the daemon to crash because of YaRSS2.Seena wrote:Hi,

Do you see a core dump (a file named python.core) after the crash? Do you see anything in the deluge logs?

Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
I am sorry, could you tell me where I find those files? Also, do I need to start the deamon with logging enabled?bro wrote:It sounds very strange that YaRSS2 would cause deluge to stop downloading. Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
The python.core would be placed in the directory where deluged was started. Starting deluged with logging might give some hints in the log, but it won't contain info on the segmentation fault (if that is what you're experiencing).Seena wrote:I am sorry, could you tell me where I find those files? Re: [Plugin] YaRSS2 - RSS plugin with GTKUI support
After testing for a while now, I actually can't reproduce the bug. Not sure what the reason was, but things seem to work so far.
