I'm also on Ubuntu 8.04. For me, avi files open just fine, but mkv files do not, even though they work when double-clicking the icon in Nautilus.

I'm having a problem running 0.9.03 on a headless server running Ubuntu 7.10. When I launch deluged remotely from a terminal, it opens a connection to the X server on my desktop. When I kill the terminal I used to launch deluged, it kills the X connection thus killing deluged. This makes running the daemon useless because I have to leave my desktop running all the time to keep deluged up. Below is the error message I get when I kill the terminal:
Code: Select all
The application 'deluged' lost its connection to the display localhost:10.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application.
Can someone tell me why deluged is opening a connection to the X server?

I really want to try this but the ppa I found on launchpad only contains a package for hardy. I'm running the alpha of ibex so that doesn't work for me.
Is there any way of getting the ppa to work in ibex or am I going to have to build from source?

Hi:
I recently moved over to Mandriva Linux from Vista and I have to say I love it and definitely won't be going back. But the only version of deluge I can find for mandriva is the old version is there a plan to develop an ,rpm package or can a build from the source of the other versions?

It's not possible to use deluge while my own torrent order cannot be saved. Please, kill this bug.

Hmm...1.0 deluge still need xserver to run? I through the main advantage of 1.0 is running it in daemon mode without xserver. I think you need to specify some options in deluged (to run in daemon mode). Try "deluge --help".
If it still need to run in xserver, then you can use "screen" utility to run your deluged. You can learn more about screen in here.
http://www.rackaid.com/resources/linux- ... ng-screen/
or ask uncle google yourself.
