so this version have a built-in browser that works anonimously? Not sure if this helps as the ISP in my country uses traffic shaping to track .torrent packets. So, if I download a file with .torrents extension, they can track me. Anyway, good job on this.

Also, if this is integrated into the core, how will this affect 0.6 where the core doesn't need a browser running?

yes.

it helps, if you have deluge set to encrypt and you browse via our internal browser

if this makes enough to stay alive, it *will* be part of our future 0.6 branch. you'll still be able to run the core daemon without any gui/browser frontend, but it'll be available if you need it

Just one thing about the new version...
Ctrl+A was already "select all" (which I use a lot), I think Ctrl+N might be better for adding a torrent.

Also while the new features are awesome, it seems kind of odd that Torrent File and Peers information is only available with a plugin, but a whole anonymous web browser is built in.

Couldn't you just use TOR as a proxy, it seems like a very expensive move to make your own proxy service.

Agreed. This integrated browser is a GREAT effort, though, I really didn't see this coming. No that I'll use it, downloading music and movies is legal in my country so I'm not really worried about anonymity, but it's amazing anyway.

Couple GUI suggestions: make the button not show if it's not activated, and put the search button back on the right of the search field. Having it on the left feels kind of odd.

Oh, and please specify what the command shortcuts are in their menu entries. Newcomers will appreciate it.

nice feature but i also agree with the rest of the posters. make this in to a plugin that's on by default. also could you make it when i click an ad that it opens in my default browser and not in deluge's internal browser? the default is really clumsy because it opens in that small window that i then have to resize. thanks for all the hard work!

When I clicked on 'Browser' button and it crashes. I get this:

Code: Select all

Unable to load bookmarks file: %s [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/home/mezz/.config/deluge/mozilla/bookmarks.save'
[1] 90952 segmentation fault (core dumped) deluge

mimeTypes.rdf prefs.js
While I am here, why don't browser and search be part of plugins? Just wondering...
