Gonna confirm some of loki's findings though I'm running on Windows XP Pro SP3:-
~ The minute any connections are made (with or w/o daemon on), a very distinctly obvious heft, clunk and interface lag starts along with it. A thing that was generally unheard of back at 0.5.9.x versions?
~ I'm gonna be blunt to ask here. Is it really necessary to separate daemon's behavior at settings? This time how are we supposed to go about with that? Getting it to auto-start and connect kinda messed up connecting to trackers it seems. In a way this is negatively affecting the standard Deluge effect of fast local peers' finds.
~ Yeah it shows 218mb installed. A whopping 180+mb "growth" over the older versions. Are we talking about Vista or XP dependencies bundled in? I don't think XP users has any real issues there really apart from the usual IPv6 or "set affinity to core0" oddities?
~ Thankfully I'm not experiencing any random or major crashes at all, all the way since 0.5.9.x.
So for now I'm reverting back to 0.5.9.3 until the next RC is out hopefully that will be soon. And uhh...I think it's a good idea to give these RCs the same numbering/naming schemes as per announcements. Some are prone to confuse things too fast out there.

Re: 1.0.0_RC1 (0.9.01) Released
Fixed as of svn 3455 (thanks andar!)
0.9.02r3450 Ubuntu Gutsy compiled from svn:
Password Protecting the tray icon does not function. If you enable this in the Interface tab once you close the deluge window you cannot bring it back up. The password dialogue does not appear. You cannot close deluge or shutdown deluge and deluged from the tray icon.

Re: 1.0.0_RC1 (0.9.01) Released
My apologies..I should have probably relate it to "announcements" instead of "connecting to trackers".Well maybe it's just me in that sense but the 1st run right after install I kinda left the daemon settings alone. I'm not entirely sure whether it was on by default (is it?) or not. At the time things seems to be normal. Announcements were made fast enough. I didn't leave any torrents running because I wasn't really satisfied with configs and such. So when I got back, booted my comp and tried launching the client again this time the daemon options window popped up. I didn't mess with the random ports' setting but just checked it to auto start. Right after that it took noticeably longer for announcements to be made. Long enough that 1 torrent I was trying to seed snagged only 1 peer after like close to 30 minutes.andar wrote: I have no idea what you are trying to say here? It could also be my ISP's "bad" IP assignment too (at diff client runs as stated above) so I didn't rule that 1 out. Feel free to /ignore this.

Re: 1.0.0_RC1 (0.9.01) Released
v1.0.0 looks nice but it's irritating to call this a Release Candidate because most plugins are not rewritten yet. I'd like to try the RC but my most-loved plugin "Torrent Creator" is missing. Maybe you could give rewriting of this plugin a little priority because according to the user stats it's one of the most popular plugins (although the stats are not easy to understand / interpret...). Please have a look on this ticket.

Re: 1.0.0_RC2 (0.9.02) Released
In the webui, the progress column of individual files displays "bytes X 100". I think the "divided by total size of that file" was missed out.
Also, by pressing up and down keys while the cursor is focused on the list of torrents, things get buggy when the cursor is on top of the list and I press up and vise versa.

Re: 1.0.0_RC2 (0.9.02) Released
Congrats on the release.
Unfortunately it looks like it was a step back in simplicity. While 0.5 deluge wasn't too nice with it's first run wizard, at least you could just press "next" to get to the end... here, this daemon thing made me go 'um, I have no idea what to do'. I also couldn't find an option anywhere to make the toolbar be text + icons, not just small icons.
The interface itself seems to have been upped for the power users, leaving someone who just wants to download a torrent and that's it behind. That's my feeling of it. I guess I can't complain now that transmission made it into ubuntu for simplicity... :(
