[Suggestion] Make .torrent file association optional

Post by teohhanhui »

When Deluge is installed it automatically associates itself with .torrent files.

Doing so without giving the user an option to skip the step is disrespect of the user's choice. Please add a checkbox similar to "Use Deluge as default BitTorrent client" or "Associate Deluge with .torrent files" to the installer.

I will integrate that into the installer script. In the meantime, an easy workaround is to installer your other torrent client after installing Deluge.

EDIT: Done, the file association will be optional from the next Deluge version (1.1.7 was built with the old installer).
