i use deluge (now 0.5.9.4) more than year as best bittorent client for ubuntu (now intrepid, kernel 2.6.27-14).
but in some recent days i experience strange behaviour:
after some running time (usually when i return from a work), i see no deluge icon in a tray panel, in "system monitor" deluge process uses some 50% of CPU and in waiting channel is "futex_wait". in "resources" tab of "system monitor" i see no incoming/outcoming internet traffic.
i successfully surf the web with browser and the rest of the system seems to work ok.
so why deluge may hang up? maybe this is kernel problem, or some other ubuntu update that i download rather frequent?
thanks
deluge hangs on futex_wait
Re: deluge hangs on futex_wait
possibly, deluge 0.5.9.4 is pretty much discontinued.
the latest version is 1.1.5.
the latest version is 1.1.5.
Re: deluge hangs on futex_wait
i upgraded to deluge 1.1.6 but i still have the same problem:
deluged in sleeping in futex_wait
deluge is sleeping in sk data wait
both ignore killall command.
and when i kill them with system monitor and start again, 2/3 of my torrents start re-checking which takes a lot of time!!!
how can i fix it?
thanks

Re: deluge hangs on futex_wait
To find out the source of the problem first you should start deluge with logging enabled follow Faq#HowdoIstartthedaemonwithloggingenabled
then check deluged.log and/or deluge.log in ~/.config/deluge to see if there is any clue to the source of you problem
