Deluge doesn't save preferences

I use Ubuntu 8.10 and Deluge 1.1.4.

Whenever I change preferences, apply them - it works great. But after quitting and logging in again everything returns to default. I use root account, and all the prefs stored in /root/.config/deluge/core.conf.new are correct when I apply them, but after quitting the are all changed back to default. I tried to correct this file before starting Deluge, but it didn't help.

Please give some solution.

Use 1.1.5 or copy the *.conf.new files to *.conf

Thanks, the trick with copying helped. When there will be deb for 1.1.5 I'll definitely upgrade.
