Hi guys
Having problems with no incoming connections. The only way I've found round it is to start deluge pick a port, then start transmission with the same port. Transmission opens the port then deluge sees it as open. Otherwise deluge never sees or creates an open port. I'm using the latest 1.0.7 version on ubuntu, and I'm behind a dlink router. Any help is appreciated thanks.
NAT-PMP or UPnP problems
Re: NAT-PMP or UPnP problems
Never mind solved the problem:
then:
Might come back when it actually works! Then again rtorrent works and utorrent is better under wine.
Code: Select all
apt-get remove --purge deluge-torrent
Code: Select all
apt-get install rtorrent
Re: NAT-PMP or UPnP problems
have you tried checking that the port is open before you open transmission?
personally deluge will tell me a port is closed until I check it and then it will say it's open.
most likely though is that your router isn't fully supported for upnp, the most useful thing would be to build deluge with TORRENT_UPNP_LOGGING on and paste the upnp.log.
as a side note, just because upnp doesn't work, doesn't mean the program is unusable; it takes no time at all to forward a port.
if you want to use rtorrent or utorrent under wine, that's fine, just don't be a smart-arse about it.

Re: NAT-PMP or UPnP problems
Tried checking it says its closed. My routers not the problem as upnp works with every other client and earlier versions of deluge, I believe it even works in the windows version as well. I take it I would need to recompile deluge with the logging feature in? Which is a pain in the arse. I'll see if I can do it anyway just to see if I can do it.
Nothing smart-arse about using a client that works properly its just common sense, besides which I'd had no replies asking nicely, happy solstice.

i'll never understand why people assume that we'd care if they used other clients. i dont give a ****. we work on deluge for free for ourselves...we just make it available for people for free in case they'd want it. you do whatever you wantasininity wrote:Tried checking it says its closed. I will do bud and I dont give a **** about deluge or whether you care if I use it or not, I just want a client that actually works. Maybe while you're working on it for yourself you should fix the problems with it, or in this case stop making new ones. No wonder theres problems with it, I dont think I'll be coming back if this is the way you help users ya fuckwit.
