connecting to a daemon on a different machine (RC8)

Is it possible to connect the frontend on one machine to the daemon on another? when I add the IP to connection manager, it won't let me connect. I have tried the windows version and the linux version, and neither can see the daemon running on my mythtv box.

You probably didn't enable remote connections on the daemon. By default it will only accept connections from the localhost.
