Rc 0.9.08 how to make a torrent

As far as I can tell there is no way to make a torrent with this deluge release and there is no plugin listed it's just a blank page.Also it says all plugins are now included but I do not see it.I only have three plugins in my list and one does not work.I must be looking in the wrong place or missing something.So can someone please point me in the right direction thanks.

Is this forum dead?Anyone here?Does this new deluge make a torrent file yes or no.If it does not you should take the rc off it and call it something else.Why you ask?Because a torrent program must be able to create a torrent end of story.Now I admit most peeps are leaches but this is no reason not to have it in a RC it should be there.A RC is a complete program which is let out for testing to iron out small bugs.It should be stated on the download page that it can not make a torrent so peeps that need this feature don't waste their time like myself and if it is there you hid it well.

that being said it is a great program for downloading torrents very very nice.

Well with an attitude like that it's not really likely that you will get any answers faster. That's why this is all called testing and CANDIDATE. Doesn't mean it's perfect especially since you can't know what features people primarily want fixed first. Anyhow just wait a couple more days and this will be done for sure. As someone said in another thread, it's a rewrite for the plugins that's necessary. If no one does the "Create Torrent" one, the program continues as a download client as it used to be. You can still use one of the older versions or tons of other free tools to make a torrent. Nobody forces you to use this very very nice program or this particular new version for that matter. I'm not too fond of the version jump myself but in terms of progress and what I gain as user experience it's totally worth the effort and have a plugin or two drop a few days later.

It's developped by volunteers, after all. And I personally think they've done a bloody good job so far. This piece of software turned up just a few months ago and completely shattered every other tool I used before that. It's faster than Azureus and already has more features than Transmission or the BitTorrent-Downloader GTK. I used a lot of torrent tools for Windows before I came to Linux and none was as intuitive as this is. µTorrent maybe, but since it's Windows only that makes none the more interesting.

Sorry about the rant this was what I call a flare post,to see if I can get someone to answer my ? or at least someone to reply in some way.works most of the time as it did here lol but is not really recommended.

the program is very good and have been using for a long time it's really something and reminds me of utorrent.I tested the last 2 or 3 RC but never made a torrent with the RC's.The site I belong to just opened a new tracker and I told other's that I would start to upload today the files they wanted lol.Needless to say I was shocked when I found no way to make a torrent and had most likely 30 or 40 people waiting for me to upload and they will have to wait till the plugin gets fixed.I will not load another client.Deluge is what I will use and only Deluge.The ipfilter kicks butt.This is a great feature and I am surprised it's not on all clients or most.JUst so you don't think I'm a total *ss I did not show up hear wining when I would do a force recheck and lose over half of 4 gigs of data on a torrent.Actually took me quite a few torrent's before I figured out what was going on roflmao .

anyway thanks for the reply.Now I know the forum lives and it's not just a few people talking to each other.I will be a humble man from now on.One last ? will the plugin be posted separate or will it be a full program download

to the coders if you come to the forum keep up the great work and thank you all.I've been using this program for as long as I have been using linux.This really should come with most distro's as the default bittorrent client when 1.0.0 is finished.One of the first program's I download when I switch distro's .

like r0ckarong said this is a RC version - the developers are mainly concerned with bug squashing and improving stability.
After version 1 is released they will look into porting/rewriting plugins that were in 0.5 (like the create torrent feature).
Once the create torrent plugin is written it will be most probably be included in deluge (not an external download).
So you will just need to enable it.
