Autload and OSx problem

Post by pyjamasam »

I run Deluge on a Linux box... It works FANTASTIC. I love it. Well done guys.

I have though managed to find something weird. When I drop a torrent file in the auto load monitored directory from an OSX box deluge crashes out with an invalid encoding error.

This is due to the fact that OSX is writing 2 files to the directory (shared via NFS and SMB). The real file test.torrent and a second file .test.torrent

The 2nd file is what OSX uses for its meta data on other file systems.

Problem is that Deluge picks that file up and tries to load it (cause of the .torrent extension) and this kills Deluge.

I tried to go and add a ticket, but I don't have a login for Trac yet. So I figured I would post here to at least see if anybody else is having the same issue.

I am not sure the correct wat to handle this (ignore "hidden" files, or not puke quite so bad on the "bad encoding" errors).

If anybody can point me to how to get credentials for the trac site I can post the issue there (of if anybody could be kind enough to post if for me that would work as well).

Thanks.

chris.
