Hello all,
at first i want to thank the developers for creating such a good client. I was using Azureus
since 2.something, and the performance was quite good, i thought. But it really is a big
bloated memory hog when compared to other clients. So i gave deluge it's chance,
and i'm definitely impressed. Performance is quite the same, if not even better.
But now for my questions/suggestions. Is there some way to have some torrents in your
queue and have them auto-started when some conditions are met? I'll show you in an example:
My box runs sometimes half a week without intervention. So it would be nice to
add maybe 5 torrents in the queue, and have them started automatically if the last completed
torrent has a share ratio of >= 1.0 or so. Or if these are torrents where share ratio doesn't matter,
next torrent is started when the last active one has finished.
Is this possible and how to set this up? Already found how to auto-clear torrents
when the right conditions are met, but auto-start seems not available.
Regards
EDIT: Just wanted to add: Using WebGUI or something for remote control is not an option.

Re: Settings for torrents in queue and auto-start
how are you plannning on adding the torrents?
wouldn't you be able to manually adjust the queue order when adding them?
you can have it so that all new torrents are queued to the end and then clear the finished ones automatically using share ratio or seed time.
you can also have it so when your previous download finished your new one starts.
but you can't make it so that it automatically switches between the two (unless you want to write a plugin).

Re: Settings for torrents in queue and auto-start
Yes it would be enough when one torrent in the queue finishes, the next one starts.
But maybe i have overlooked the setting for this? Position in the queue does not matter.
The torrents will all be added beforehand.

Well maybe this auto-start thing was too obvious to find out about it.
Just set the number of maximum active torrents to what you wish,
then start all the torrents you want, maybe adjust their position in the queue,
and/or adjust the seeding options to your needs, and let deluge do the work.
Works fantastic. To the developers: Keep up the good work.
