All torrents show "Error"

Post by allanc2029@gmail.com »

After Deluge being on for an hour or two, all torrents show an error status. If I close the reopen Deluge, all is well for the next couple of hours, then the error status reappears. And this keeps repeating.

Hello Allanc,

Can you check the permissions and ownership? It is possible they are unable to write or read to the directories. Besides that, can you turn on logging, so you will have a more clear picture what is going on with Deluge.

https://deluge-torrent.org/troubleshooting/

You could for example use the following for more verbose logging (be sure to turn it off after the problem has been fixed.

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/deluged -d -L debug -l /var/log/deluge/deluged.log

After some "playing around", I found that if I close Deluge before putting my computer to sleep, the problem does not occur. This is an easy solution as long as I remember to do that!
Thanks for your suggestion.

Good to hear.

What you can do is (if you are on Linux desktop), create an alias for putting your computer to sleep. Thus with that, it automatically closed deluge before putting it to sleep.
