Can't use proxy after upgrading from 1.3.x to 2.2

Post by AvlHiker »

I run standalone and after upgrading to 2.2 torrents weren't working.

Tried turning off the proxy (http) and things worked fine.

I tried renaming my conf directory and re-set up the proxy setting from scratch but it still didn't work.

Ideas ?

Thanks

The proper way to "proxy" deluge is not using an http proxy but rather a VPN - such as hotio or binhex's containers, which support openvpn and wireguard. HTTP proxy in deluge's options will fail to seed as there wont be an ope port and things are going to essentially "seed" without being connectable.

Regardless of the proper way to deluge I'd still like to figure why using a proxy doesn't work (at all) with the newer version of Deluge.

Sorry haven't tested this, but is it same with the libtorrent 1.2.x libtorrent version of deluge. I don't remember any changes to deluge itself regarding this, though not as observant as before though grantedly.
