I can't change the priority of the files being downloaded.

My system

Code: Select all

System:
  Kernel: 6.14.0-29-generic arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 13.3.0 clocksource: tsc
  Desktop: Cinnamon v: 6.4.8 tk: GTK v: 3.24.41 wm: Muffin v: 6.4.1 vt: 7 dm: LightDM v: 1.30.0
Distro: Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base: Ubuntu 24.04 noble

alfema@alfema:~$ deluge --version
deluge 2.2.0
libtorrent: 2.0.10.0
Python: 3.12.3
OS: Linux Linux Mint 22.1 xia
I have a torrent with multiple files. I was changing their priority based on what I wanted to download first, but at some point, it stopped letting me make those changes.

I had version 2.1.x, the latest available in Mint 22.1, and I installed the latest version through the PPA.

I closed and restarted Deluge, verified the torrent, and it didn't start downloading again because I renamed files and organized others with the name "_____padding_file_0_if you see this file, please update to BitComet 0.85 or above____" into directories so it wouldn't show them.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks in advance.

Hello alfema,

How does it react if you would restart the torrent and do the same thing?

Well, I don't know because I haven't tried it. Besides, I had renamed quite a few files before it finished, and I would have had to download those files again; it wasn't feasible.

Also, it's been more than six months since then.

Thank you for your interest.
