Sorry buddy, missed the part about not everything already explained notion.

Anyway, it's same source-list, and so only the ubuntu codename(matching your Debian version closest) need changing, so 'jammy', instead of 'exenial' presumably(the ppa has deluge 2.1.1 for ubuntu versions 22.x, 21.10, 20.04 and 18.04 only, and e.g deluge 2.0.5 for xenial as you found, etc), and then crossing fingers for no deps issues otherwise.

There's been lots of fixes between deluge 2.0.5 and deluge 2.1.1, so would recommend upgrading yes, not sure you will be particular effected by any specific issue persay, but might as well imho, but your call of-course. There's also newest deluge on pypi BTW, to install through pip3(from 'python3-pip') if all else fail, just python's beb 668 is enabled on Debian 12.2, so either need install through pipx(or just setup the venv manually), or override the protection for deluge, though the '--break-system-packages' switch.
