Active Port Error on VPN

Post by pollardhimself »

I've noticed a issue when I'm connected to torguards VPN the active port test throws a error when not connected it shows green. Utorrent seems to always work fine when I'm connected. Any have any idea's why its doing that? Its also saying no incoming connections

When you use a proxy or VPN it is normal to see the no incoming connections message. You will still be able to upload and download because it's the far end of the connection at the VPN or proxy host that is allowing incoming connections.

Same thing goes for the active port.

As gderf stated, it's fine.

With SOCKS5 proxies and VPN's without port-forwarding enabled,, you upload through outgoing connections, which the bittorrent protocol supports, as it's not like the older P2P protocols needing incoming connections to upload i.e. bittorrent connections are bi-directional per design. Also, uploads through incoming connection is supported occasionally through Pex/dht, as the binded UDP port is kept. No TCP incoming connections though.

In short, as stated, it's fine.

There is no problem. What the OP is seeing is the expected behavior.
