local daemon issue in Linux Mint

Post by emrecnl »

How do I start local daemon? In connection manager window, I only see my Ubuntu Server's Deluge installation which works flawlesly. But I need to download a torrent on this machine so how do I start local Deluge daemon?

I already added Deluge ppa and installed packages are: deluge-gtk, deluge-common, deluged, deluge

Any ideas?

I didn't have this problem in Windows though.
Deluge Host: Ubuntu Server 14.04.03 amd64
Deluge Clients: Windows 7 x64 & Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon amd64

Sounds like you deleted localhost from the connection list. Simply add a user named localclient to the auth file.

I just removed all deluge and reinstalled. I also renamed ~/.config/deluge folder before reinstalling.
It's just not starting local daemon.
At the moment what I see in connection manager window is:
127.0.0.1:58846

auth file content is:
localclient:3ccad4bb3cecb695ff6f720c07dee3eecc20c816:10
emre:emre:10

installed packages are:
deluge, deluge-gtk, deluge-common, deluged

any ideas?
