Cant create a torrent file

Hello, I cant seem to create a torrent file, there is a glitch somewhere.



Steps:
1- Create a new torrent
2- Select the file (when clicking okay nothing happens and don't close the windows so I close it myself) the repertoire of the file is still selected
3- Select the tracker
4- Checking the settings
5- click save > tells me me to select a folder, which I did. > goes into a loop and asks me again and again and again and again and again and again....



What to do?

I have never used it before, but I just did a test torrent that worked.
Do you perhaps have a file permission issue stopping you from saving to the location you are selecting?

Windows 7 x64
Deluge 1.3.11 py27

File -> Create Torrent
Click File.
Navigate to a 300 MB file I have on local machine.
Click open. (Window closes automatically.)
Switch to trackers tab.
Click add.
Type http://127.0.0.1
Click OK.
Click options.
Change piece size to 1 MB.
Check add to session.
Click save.
Navigate to desktop and click ok.
File saved to desktop, added to deluge.

Open it with Media player, for some reason, it becomes blurry when I watch it with VLC. I used FastStone Capture for the recording sorry if it seems cheap.

I don't have that "window not closing" issue you have. As soon as I click the button the window closes on its own. I am not sure why you are having trouble.

Also, when I add a tracker it gets added to the list. Yours looks like it just closed the list.

I am using mine as a thin client setup with the daemon on a different pc. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I did manually upgrade to libtorrent 1.0.5. Not sure if that makes a difference. I don't think that is involved with the create torrent thing.

I have to go right now for a while.

So... It works with the 1.3.3 deps version with gtk runtime


Shall I use it or is it too old? What is the difference anyway?

Can anyone tell me how to reset Deluge settings? I have read the FAQ but it is too vague... Where is the config directory?


I know the main directory but I do not see the config one.
