Deluge crashes consistently

Post by Feistyfish »

Hi All

Just started using Deluge.
It keeps crashing at least once a day, I'm using version 1.3.11 and am using the AutoAdd plugin. I've tried disabling the plugin just now to see if that helps. :S
where can i find error log for the program?

mu setup is as follows
VM w/ 4 cores @ 4.00 Ghz and 4GB RAM
windows 7 enterprise fully updated
The VM is just a torrent server. the downloads are being saved to a NAS/file server on the same hypervisor.

Any advice?
Should i revert to an older version?
The autoadd plugin is the whole reason i went with deluge so if i can''t use it, that will be disappointing

Do you have the YaRSS2 plugin installed?
When reporting issues, please include any relevant information such as OS (and version), python version (for Windows users this depends on which Deluge installer was used), Deluge version and plugin version.

Same problem here, I don't have the plugin mentioned. C++ runtime error.

I don't believe i do.

The only plugin i have installed are the plugins which come packaged with 1.3.11. of those the only one i have active and running is the autoadd plugin

These issues are really hard to debug as we can't easily reproduce the crash. The only advice we can give you that will circumvent the issue is to run deluge in daemon/thin client mode. This will allow the server (deluged) to run without the GUI (GTKUI) running. When the GTKU crashes, you can just start the GTKUI and connect back to the daemon.

In the preferences, in the "Interface" tab, untick the Classic Mode box, and restart Deluge.
When reporting issues, please include any relevant information such as OS (and version), python version (for Windows users this depends on which Deluge installer was used), Deluge version and plugin version.

Update

after removing the autoadd plugin deluge has run for ~20 hours w/o crash

this shows a great improvement in stability

Have re enabled autoadd to see what happens

re enabled add in without turning on the watched folder... so the add in was running and doing nothing. d'oh. At any rate the program did not crash which is good.

have turned the watched folder back on to see what happens.

If you figure out how to reproduce a crash, please create a bug ticket so we can look at it and fix it ;)
When reporting issues, please include any relevant information such as OS (and version), python version (for Windows users this depends on which Deluge installer was used), Deluge version and plugin version.
