Deluge won't run after powercut

Hi all,

need some help on how to proceed...

First some info, I installed Deluge in a headless fashion in Ubuntu server (its a virtual machine, but I suppose it doesn't really matter) according this guide: http://www.havetheknowhow.com/Install-t ... dless.html

When power-cut happened, Deluge was downloading some torrents and it was obviously a non clean stop. After my server restarted, I was not able to connect via WebUI to my daemon (127.0.0.1:58846). I do not care about lost torents, I can start them again so I uninstalled deluged and deluge-web via sudo apt-get remove command and I deleted my /home/[user]/.config/deluge directory. After that I reinstalled deluged and deluge-webui and restarted the server but I am still not able to connect via WebUI to the daemon? If I click on 127.0.0.1:58846 and select Start daemon it does nothing. In terminal if I check for status of the services 'deluged' and 'deluge-web' both are reported as running Before this, it was running smooth as butter...

Any pointers what I should be looking for and what should be my procedure if it happens again? In general, I don't really care too much about losing torrent progress, so if they get lost in the process of restarting deluge, I am fine with that. I just want to be able to restart my system properly even when I am physically far away from my server... Please help

Cmon guys... Anyone? At least a pointer which terminal commands to use to understand what is going on... I even updated from version 1.3.6 (Ubuntu rep) to 1.3.11 (Deluge rep) but it is still behaving in the same way - both deluged and deluge-web services are reported as running but when I start webui on my windows machine and when I try to connect it asks me for the password, I enter it succesfully but than connection manager window opens where it shows 127.0.0.1:58846 is offline. If I click Start daemon nothing happens :/
