recovering state after reformat/reinstall?

Post by mc_hamster »

Due to a bunch of reasons of annoyance, I wound up dropping in a fresh install of fedora 20 on my box. /home directories (with torrents and ~/.config/deluge all intact) remained intact, have been brought back in and chowned etc to get back in fine.

Deluge is all reinstalled, ~/.config/deluge/state seems to be fine to me (plenty of stuff in there, at any rate), but when I fire up the server... no torrents loaded? My labels are all still there, just.. no torrents. Any idea how to go about even troubleshooting why it's notpicking them back up??

Are the actual torrent files still there? One time I did this, and used SSH to copy the folder that contained all of the .torrent files as I did not want to mes s with anything in the config folder, then added them to the autowatch folder so they all loaded back into Deluge. There is probably an easier way though, and this require rechecking of all files.

the original ones themselves, no.. there are however .torrent files (renamed to I think possibly a UUID? some sort of hex hash, though) in ~/.config/state.. Guess I'll have to add them all manually.
