Deluge webi or daemon recreating folders

Post by mbwun0110 »

I'm not sure where to diagnose this issue, as I've checked FAQs and searched and haven't found this exact issue.

I'm currently running deluge headless with webui on Linux ubuntu box. Deluge downloads torrents and moved them to
the appropriate staging folder I have set up. I manually then move these files to the appropriate shares on my network.

However if I ever have to restart the ubuntu box, deluged/webui (I can't tell which) is recreating all of the folders for the
previously downloaded files. I'm not sure where this setting is or what is triggering it. I usually just do a sort of the share
the create date and delete them en masse.

It's not a big deal yet, only mildly annoying.

Can anyone help?

If you move the files outside of Deluge it will re-download them if restarted. You should use the move storage function or remove them from Deluge.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

So once they have finished downloading I should remove the entries from deluge-webui?

Also, I use flexget to handle my regular torrents, but I use the webui if I need to throw an adhoc torrent into the mix via the webui interface. I have turned off the move storage function in the webui because I thought it would interfere with torrents downloaded and managed by Flexget. My flexget config has the files being renamed and moved to folders based on show name and season. Is this the case?

If you do not need them for seeding then yes.

Flexget doesn't care if you move or remove torrents from Deluge and the default move storage is overridden by any setting specified by Flexget.

OK, I'll try re-enabling the default move folders in the web-ui to see if that corrects the issue. I'll post back my results.

OK, I re-enabled the default move folders. I'm not sure if it has worked
as all my recent flexget torrents have been displaying openbittorrent.com
connection refused on them.

I thought openbittorent was back up. If not, then I need to find some way
for flexget to exclude any torrents/trackers from them I guess.
