Only root can connect to peers

Hi,

Strange problem. Fresh install running as a normal user shows I can connect to trackers and deluge will populate the number of peers etc. But will never connect to start a transfer.

If I run deluge as root (i.e not as a normal user) and add the same torrent - the transfer starts immediately as expected and flys along.

Why is deluge as non root having this problem of connecting to peers? There is no download location permission problem - I've kept it stock and in the home dir for transparency.

deluged with a local client connecting and a remote client too.

What port are you using? Non-root users have to use ports above 1024. Are there any errors in deluged.log? If not, you should try running deluge with 'deluged -L info' (or deluge instead of deluged) to log info messages or '-L debug' to see everything deluge does.
