Now i use the ktorrent client. There are many torrents with different locations and share ratio.
But deluge looks fine. I try change my client.
How can i import all my downloads from ktorrent (i want not to import only .torrent files, but also dowload location and share ratio for all files in ktorrent)
In advance thanks.
Import downloads from ktorrent
Re: Import downloads from ktorrent
I think the problem of importing downloads from other torrent clients is the main problem when anyone tries to change one torrent client to other.
If deluge has no possibility to do this, then no new users will use it.
P.S. Sorry for my English.

Re: Import downloads from ktorrent
1. If you use one folder to download all torrents and then link them to the appropriate (for you) position, and leave their names untouched will save you a lot of trouble when moving to a new torrent client (or doing any other _big_ change regarding the computer) - it is just more organized.
2. I haven't heard of a torrent client capable of exporting its list for other clients - I searched google and found that utorrent can do this, but I think the exported file is usable only by another utorrent.
3. Uploading (seeding) the torrents is the most important thing in their usage. The ratios are important for you to feel good but they are visible only to you. I changed my torrent client from bittorrent to deluge by hand (I had ~50 active torrents) - and it worthed it - just spend the necessary time and it'll be over once and for all - and you'll be happy about the result. Not knowing the real ratios of torrents is a small price you have to pay compared with a overall much better client.
Decide for yourself. Good luck!

Re: Import downloads from ktorrent
You can't import the share ratio setting as far as I know. But, you could just use the ktorrent until they finish uploading to your satisfaction, and start using deluge for any new torrents. If you run both at once make sure you set the port different than ktorrent.
Or you could write down the current share ratio and then finish up in deluge once you transfer the torrent files into deluge. And make sure you either point it to the save folder, or copy the files to the new deluge download folder, or else it'll re-download it all again when you add the torrents in.

Re: Import downloads from ktorrent
Thank you for your reply.
I searched the easy way to do this: so I looked at the ktorrent share directory (~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent). There were directories "tor0", "tor1" and so on. One directory for one torrent. Each directory contains two files: "stats" file (download location, uploaded quantity and so on); and "torrent" file (.torrent file for this download). So I think importing from ktorrent is not very hard problem.
May be I will try your methods if I will have time. But IMHO the better way is to write a small script which will convert information from ktorrent to deluge.
Anyway thank you for your repply.

As I know ktorrent for example can now import torrents from other clients ("Import module" written by Joris Guisson). You can't import the share ratio setting as far as I know.
