protocol traffic in both directions with no torrents loaded

I'm running deluged on my torrentslave, and connecting to it using deluge in thin client mode on my desktop.

right now, I have no torrents in deluge but I am still seeing "Protocol Traffic" in both directions, 4KiB/s up and 1Kib/s down.

as there is no torrents even loaded right now, there should be no protocol traffic right?

so how come it is happening?

Do you have DHT enabled by any chance?
