My Deluge 1.2.0-rc1-dev Issues

Post by RoestVrijStaal »

Hi everybody,

First of all, thanks for the new version. :)
I was a bit wondering if the development of Deluge was active, because the release of 1.1.9 was a long time ago.

Today Deluge on my Windows Vista installation notified me of a new RC version, so I upgraded it from version 1.1.9 it.
After a hour running, I've got a couple of issues / bugs of the new RC.
Strangely enough there is no debug information in my %APPDATA%\deluge\deluge.log file
  • PC Tools Firewall Plus 5.0.0.38 keeps notify me that the (binair) program code of Deluge is changed and asks me to allow or deny it. However I've confirmed that Firewall Plus must remember the allow-setting. I have to turn off PC Tools Firewall Plus to get rid of this messages.
Maybe Deluge starts every time a new thread and that makes Filewall Plus crazy?
  • When I open a torrent ( I found out it doesn't matter where or which ) with Deluge ( in Explorer and in Deluge self ), I got the message: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: u' ' and below the message: [Errno 3] Permission denied: u' <the program directory of Deluge> '
Ok that's all ;)
I hope this bugs are fixed in the next rc version.

regards,

I don't think the firewall problem has much to do with Deluge..

I'll check out the error when loading torrents in Windows.

With XP or Vista I can confirm these errors when adding a torrent, it does still add the torrent though.
errno-13.jpg
errno-13.jpg (36.19 KiB) Viewed 8387 times
errno-2.jpg
errno-2.jpg (33.01 KiB) Viewed 8386 times

Another thing I noticed is, first off I believe the web-ui is way better now but when adding a torrent it wouldn't let me change the options, the tab is grayed out. Also it doesn't seem to add a torrent properly, for some it goes to checking 0% and just stays there and it is new torrents no files I already have.

Those errors when adding have been resolved in svn and will be fixed for rc2.

I can't comment on the webui errors.

I almost forgot a bug:
Setting the download and upload limit ( both the 'quick choices' and the 'Other...'-option ) via the tray icon don't work in Vista.
The download and upload limit 'Other...'-option in status bar of Deluge does also not work ( but the 'quick choices' do ).

Yes it's for uploaded torrent through the web-ui, a couple problems for the web-ui... also noticed the remove or remove with data doesn't work, and the cancel button on add torrent dialog has to be pressed multiple times to close. Preferences and Connection Manager doesn't seem to change any settings to deluge.

Vista and Firefox, and also Vista or the external computer is XP and Firefox with the same symptoms.
I should probably check to see if the same issues happen in Explorer... I'd rather not have to use Explorer though.

Looks like Explorer gives the same problems if not more... it doesn't let me add, the dialog doesn't open and preferences doesn't open.
