I am trying out Deluge 1.1.9 on Windows XP. I already have the GTK+ for Windows Runtime Environment installed ( filename: gtk2-runtime-2.12.9-2008-03-18-ash.exe ) from https://sourceforge.net/projects/gtk-win/.
The problem is: when I doubleclick Deluge's icon on the desktop, a command prompt appears for a split second and then exits. Deluge does not start and no error messages are shown.
I also tried these versions of GTK runtime: filenames: (gtk2-runtime-2.14.7-2009-01-13-ash.exe, gtk2-runtime-2.16.5-2009-08-06-ash.exe) but the same thing happens. There are no log files in %APPDATA%\deluge\ , only a ui.conf file.
Edit: Title spelling
Command prompt appears for a split second and then exits

Re: Command prompt appears for a split second and then exists
Try letting the installer install it's gtk version, there's a reason it comes with its own gtk...

I have uninstalled Deluge, and then GTK, restarted my computer, and the reinstalled Deluge and allowed it to download and install its own GTK. I then tried running Deluge again but the same thing happens.

Re: Command prompt appears for a split second and then exits
I have recently installed Pidgin v2.6.2 for Windows which also installed its own version of GTK+ (2.14.7a). I then tried running Deluge again, and it now works!
Anybody know why the previous installation of GTK+ didn't work?

Unsure, I've been using Deluge with Pidgins' gtk version without any problems too.
