[Plugin] Batch Renamer
Re: [Plugin] Batch Renamer for 1.3.1
Does this work for 1.3.3? It installs fine and I can see it in the plugin list, but it doesn't seem to add any functionality. That, or I can't figure out where/how you rename torrents.

It works fine in version 1.3.3. It really is a great plugin, not without its quirks but very useful indeed.
Re: [Plugin] Batch Renamer for 1.3.1
Oscarius: I was having the same thing and I figured out what the problem was. What had happened is that I had not installed the plugin properly.
I am running the deluge daemon on my linux server and I add torrents through my win7 computer. I am assuming that you have a similar setup because you appear to have the exact same problem as me. To install a plugin the .egg file has to be installed on BOTH deluges, on the server and on the client. This doesn't seem to appear in any of the documentation so it took me some time to figure it out.
On Windows you need to put the .egg in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Deluge\deluge-1.3.3-py2.6.egg\deluge\plugins". The 2.7 egg didn't work for me so I had to use the 2.6 one.
I hope this helps!

Good point, some plugins do require this. I've updated the plugin docs.garugaga wrote:To install a plugin the .egg file has to be installed on BOTH deluges, on the server and on the client. This doesn't seem to appear in any of the documentation so it took me some time to figure it out.

Ah, I did not think of that. This explains why a lot of the plugins I install appear not to be working.Cas wrote:Good point, some plugins do require this. Thank you, gentlemen!
I'm curious about something that was asked earlier in the thread:

Re: [Plugin] Batch Renamer for 1.3.1
It's been 5 months since my last post so I hope you'll forgive me for double posting.
I can't for the life of me get this plugin working. I'm running Deluge 1.3.3 on a Debian stable machine with Python 2.7.3rc1 installed. The .egg is located in ".config/deluge/plugins/" on the server and under both "C:\Program Files (x86)\Deluge\deluge-1.3.4-py2.6.egg\deluge\plugins" (I tried 1.3.1 GTK client aswell) and under "%APPDATA%\Roaming\deluge\plugins" on my workstation. The plugin shows up in the Preferences and right clicking a torrent will correctly show the "Rename Torrent" option. The dialogue shows up, but when I try to rename a file or folder, it simply doesn't work.
Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance.

Here as a modified version which enables using season 0. This is useful for media managers which use season 0 for specials, such as PLEX.

Re: [Plugin] Batch Renamer
How does one get this to work ? i have the latest version of deluge, i can see the Batch renamer in the plugins field in deluge, but when i tick it and hit apply the tick is removed o.O and nothing happens, what gives!
Re: [Plugin] Batch Renamer
Most likely due to python version, rename the py2.7 part of the plugin egg to py2.6 or py2.5, depending on what is your default.
Re: [Plugin] Batch Renamer
python ? what is that dont think i installed anything like that. the info in the thread is very vague and i have just started using deluge, so no idea what python is lol
