Is development still active?

Post by jools772 »

There are lots of unsanswered topics on this forum, and the last commit in trac was in July if not mistaken, which leads to the question: is deluge still being actively developed? If not, what other clients are people migrating to?

Deluge is for me the best GTK torrent Client but what makes me most sad about Deluge is this delay in fixing errors. I understand that one or two developers at work is small, but the bugs had to be fixed and released in more constant updates.
I use the translation I did for my language pt_BR on Ubuntu, since I don't need to compile it. Just change the deluge.mo file.

Allright, I'm sorry I missed those commits. I also like deluge, and I think many other people do too. But it's hard to get in touch with other people, very few use irc nowadays. Why not open a discord channel?

Too be fair... if u check the bug tracker u can see most bugs are tagged ... u can see the progress on bugs at the roadmap page...
Yes .. deluge is not the most active develop program. But it works quite good and its still my client of choice.
If u check rtorrent (without Gtk or python dependency) the development is not much more active.. i think most people are chill in the torrent community as long the program works :D
