Binary Prefix possible?

Post by shirish »

Hi all,
Is it possible to have binary prefix http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix in some future release so we could have some sane disk sizes we could use, I don't know if this needs something to be on the ext3/ext4 or libtorrent or can it be done? Just out in the air.

he wanted our prefix to be "MiB" instead of "MB" and "GiB" instead of "GB", etc, to show that we're using 1024 instead of 1000. and it's in svn
