Super-seeding or Initial Seeding option

Post by paintin »

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super-seeding
Super-seeding is a feature of some BitTorrent clients that attempts to minimize the amount of data which must be uploaded by the original seed until the first completion of a downloading peer.
K-torrent has this feature now and I think Deluge uses a similar backend to it, is it possible to have this feature.

It is useful for people uploading new torrents that don't have high upload speeds.

in the FAQs
http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Faq# ... lSuperSeed
it says
Not yet, but it will be added in the future when libtorrent 0.15 is released.
And libtorrent 0.16 is out

There is an option in the ltconfig plugin that can enable this. There is no default option in deluge itself.

The option is labeled as strict_super_seeding.
