This is great to hear! I have created an Arch Linux split package in the short term:

Sorry not really, hopefully for 2.0 release (not 1.3) but there is a lot of higher priority work still to do...

No problem. It seems that debian has a work-around as does Arch now via my AUR package. Dunno how other distros are doing it. Keep up the great work!
