Deluge won't show/start a .torrent download

Same problem here... only happens with some torrents, and sometimes it works and other times it doesn't with the same .torrent.
Also, sometimes torrents that are in the torrent files directory of deluge aren't showing up in the list.

(this is on gentoo Deluge 0.5)
