Can't connect to server using hostname

Post by Tectuktitlay »

Hi all,

I've just switched from Transmission to Deluge, but have trouble connecting the thin client. I can only connect to my server using its IP address, but not using its host name. I prefer using host name, because the IP address is assigned by the DHCP server and might change.

I want to run the thin client on my Ubuntu machine. I'm using deluge-gtk 2.0.5.

I have two deluge daemons running on a Raspberry Pi. Both are using deluged 2.0.5 and are running under the same account with different config dirs and different ports. The reason for running two daemons is that I want one that uses DHT and one that doesn't, to comply with certain tracker rules.

I would like to use the host name in the thin client instead of the IP address. How can I arrange this? I can use the host name of my Raspberry Pi just fine when using ping or ssh.

Who can help!

Lots of thanks in advance.
(I like deluge so far and hope to keep using it!)

BRgds,

Tec
