Linux Mint 20 vs. Raspbian server
Linux Mint 20 vs. Raspbian server
You may have heard all this before, but I've run into an issue. I recently set up a Deluge 1.3.15 server on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Raspbian. After some troubleshooting all is well and I'm able to use the Windows thin client to access the Deluge daemon on the RP4. Now I'm trying to use a Linux Mint 20 machine to access the 1.3.15 daemon and of course it doesn't work because Linux Mint Deluge is version 2. My question is: how do I get Deluge 1.x (preferably 1.3.15) on my Linux Mint machine? I don't seem to be able to quickly find old versions on the website. All help appreciated - thanks in advance.
Re: Linux Mint 20 vs. Raspbian server
To access your Deluge server on your Pi from your Linux Mint you do not need to install the entire Deluge suite of programs on Mint. All you need is the Deluge-gtk client program and perhaps deluge-common both in v 1.3.15. See if they are available in Mint's Software manager.
If unavailable from Mint you can always run in a docker, and yes older versions are available.
