Multiple Deluge Daemons - password not recognized on deluge clone

Hello, so i successfully installed deluge on my remove server, but when I tried to clone it to run a second instance, the clone wont recognize the password when I try to access the webui

steps I took:
* made a copy of the deluge from /.config/deluge and named it /.config/deluge2.
* changed the .config/deluge2/core.conf daemon_port and web_port to one step down compare to the original deluge
in this case Web:3203 Daemon:2331 for deluge and Web:3202 Daemon:2330 for deluge2.
* successfully started both deluge instances with via ssh "deluged --config ~/.config/deluge2"
* changed the username in the auth file in the format username:password:10

issues:
first deluge runs fine and good, but the second clone wont recognize the password i set in either /.config/deluge/auth or /.config/deluge2/auth when i try to login via the web url


What am I doing wrong?
