Minimum required ports

Post by slvrdragn »

Hi There,
I'm trying to create a sandbox that will restrict deluge traffic to only the Socks5 proxy.
I'm looking at tun2socks and ip netns at the moment.

What I'm curious about is what ports are actually required. I block everything at my border firewall except 1080, with natpmp and upnp turned off and deluge seems to work fine.
What i'm wondering, is if i restrict to 1080/proxy and nothing else (maybe DNS, using my socks proxy providers), will this break things?

Is there a reason you can't try what you are considering yourself and see if it breaks things?
