DNS lookup failed

Post by psycholyzern »

Hi. I searched around and seems that no one had this issue.
I can't add torrent via url.

Example: https://www.archlinux.org/releng/releas ... 1/torrent/

The error in the log:

Code: Select all

ERROR ] 16:02:17 json_api:678 Error occurred downloading torrent from https://www.archlinux.org/releng/releases/2018.11.01/torrent/
[ERROR ] 16:02:17 json_api:679 Reason: DNS lookup failed: www.archlinux.org.
No matter whatever domain I tried, the error still telling the same.
Magnet can be added but it can never find a peer.

I am using latest deluged and deluge-web installed using PPA on my Ubuntu 18.04.
I am using it on a headless server. Currently I have 3 others torrent ckient installed which is rtorrent, transmission, and qbittorrent and they are all working fine. I can also ping the host.
So why deluge can't resolve the hostname?

Is this only with the Arch Linux torrents? I suspect that the URL is not being handled correctly by the downloader and the DNS error might be misleading.

I see no issues with the magnet and peers but you can also use one of the Arch torrent mirrors: https://www.archlinux.org/download/
