Indexing existing files

Post by undrline »

I have files I downloaded that I no longer have the torrent for, or which I used a magnet to download, or where I messed up and modified the name/location outside of Deluge.

I'm guessing there's no way for Deluge to know what they are and start to manage them? Maybe someone's written some sort of plugin that would take some sort of checksum and compare it to what's out there on public trackers to manage this?

Hi,

The renamed torrents outside the UI will appear in error in Deluged so this part is easy. To handle a torrent Deluge has to have the .torrent loaded with the tracker and all necessary information. So except if your download again the small .torrent file I see no way to make it happen.
To determine in a folder files that are no more loaded in Deluge you can simply move all torrent to a dedicated folder. File not moved are outside management.
