Kaspersky: "Deluge tried accessing http://tfile.cc advertisement used by criminals to damange your computer..

Post by cocokola »

Upon a reboot, Kaspersky security flagged Deluge with this info:
26.03.2018 19.52.32 Blocked an advertisement site or a URL that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data http://tfile.cc Object: http://tfile.cc Object type: URL Application: Deluge Bittorrent Client Time: 3/26/2018 7:52 PM
26.03.2018 19.52.31 Dangerous URL detected http://tfile.cc Object: http://tfile.cc Object type: URL Application: Deluge Bittorrent Client Time: 3/26/2018 7:52 PM

I am using the following add-ons:
Blocklist, label, itconfig, webui, autoremoveplus. I disabled blocklist and label as they were enabled but not configured. I did a search, but was unable to find any information on this.

Any guidance?

thanks!

Hi,

Is it possible this URI is used in the tracker associated to a torrent?
(review your torrents tracker list)

Anything is possible. I would think if this is what is happening that I would not be the first seeing this. That would be quite easy to make happen, just add a tracker. right?

Well, I suppose no one else is seeing this. I have not had this happen again. Strange.
